In 2006 Goodwin were awarded the Queen's Award for International Trade.
Goodwins Award citation was for:
"Machined and fabricated alloy and super alloy steel castings and assemblies"
The criteria for the award is that "Business units must be able to demonstrate substantial growth in overseas earnings and commercial success, to levels that are outstanding for the goods or services concerned and for the size of the applicant's operations. Outstanding achievement in international trade, sustained over not less than three years.
The Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire presents the Queens Award on behalf of the Sovereign Queen Elizabeth II. Receiving the award are John Goodwin (Chairman, Goodwin PLC) and Steven Birks (General Manager, Goodwin Steel Castings Ltd).
