Radiographic Inspection

Radiographic Inspection

All cast material produced within the facility maintains 100% traceability and is subject to non-destructive testing, in accordance with customer requirements, using industry standard techniques and acceptance standards. The scope of inspection within the facility includes castings, forgings and fabrications and is often employed to conduct sub-contract testing of free issue material.

Our experienced, qualified inspectors ensure component integrity on behalf of our customers with in-process documentation available for surveillance activities and source inspections. Investment in advanced inspection facilities enables our inspectors to benefit from digital analysis techniques and reporting, ensuring indefinite retention of inspection reports.

We operate three RT facilities capable of radiographing castings, forging and
fabrications, ranging from 25mm through to 450mm in section size, with an overhead crane capacity of up to 70T to accommodate large-scale components. These facilities employ the latest film processing capabilities, mitigating against film artefacts that would mask indications deemed unacceptable to any project specification.
