Nuclear New Build
Goodwin Steel Castings are an experienced and trusted supply chain partner, supporting nuclear new build globally, delivering
outstanding quality castings, with appropriate certification and supporting documentation. Our historical supply includes
Sizewell B, as well as components for the UK’s nuclear reactor at Hinkley Point C.
We supply cast components for primary (class one) and secondary (class two) cooling loops, in which the
component parts manufactured by Goodwin Steel Castings include valves, pumps, impellers and diffusers. We have
also supplied critical duty class one structural components for civil and military facilities within the UK.
Goodwin Steel Castings maintains an independently accredited ISO 9001 Quality Management System
that meets the requirements of ASME Section III, Division 1 – NCA-3820 (b) and NCA-3842. This
allows customers to approve our facility which allows for the supply of castings to ASME or RCCM
for nuclear facilities.
We hold customer approvals for the manufacture of high alloy steel and nickel alloy
castings, including X-ray radiography, Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI) and heat treatment
processing for nuclear submarines.
