Apprenticeships

Whilst most companies will use an external college-based apprentice system, Goodwin have engineered our own in-house apprentice scheme – giving us the advantage of providing training our way, so in the future we ensure we have nothing but the best.

Our apprentices achieve a BTEC Level 3 in the first six months of their four year apprenticeship through classroom and workshop based activities performed during a standard five day week.

Following on from this initial six months, they must then choose ten modules from a twenty five module set, each chosen module running for a six week duration. Each module consists of two weeks observation, one week classroom, two weeks practical followed by an examination. For the final two years, after experiencing different areas of engineering, an apprentice must choose an area to specialise in. The training from then on will be on a ‘one to one’ basis with experts in their chosen field.

By going the extra mile with our apprentice scheme, we will ensure that Goodwin remains at the forefront by having only the best skilled personnel to fulfil your
work, both now and in the future.
