Goodwin Steel Castings manufacture large stainless steel castings in a wide range of specifications in weights from 250 to 15,000 kg and incorporated in assemblies up to 100,000kg.

Goodwin supply proof machined stainless steel castings and finish machined stainless steel castings.

Robotic welding of a nozzle cover - a twin cell, 4 station robotic TIG welding machine, located at Goodwin's machine shop, allows consistent quality welds to be made at high production rates. The photograph shows a 304L stainless steel burner nozzle for a gas turbine having the inserts for the flow passages welded in.

304 stainless castings and 316 stainless steel castings represent the largest use of corrosion resistant alloys.

The addition of molybdenum in the 316 grade greatly enhances resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.
By using the AOD refining vessel Goodwin can readily produce low carbon stainless steel castings (304L and 316L) and the nitrogen strengthened stainless steel (316LN)

Austenitic stainless steels are often used for architectural applications.

The ductility of the austenitic structure makes these steels a choice for cryogenic applications.
