Goodwin Steel Castings manufacture large chrome moly and chrome moly vanadium steel castings in a wide range of specifications in weights from 250 to 15,000kg and assemblies up to 100,000kg.

Goodwin supply proof machined castings, finish machined castings and assembled steam valves in chrome molybdenum and chrome molybdenum vanadium steel.

Chromium Molybdenum steels are widely used in the oil and gas industries, in fossil fuel and nuclear power plants. These steels contain 0.5 to 5% Cr and 0.5 to 1.5% Mo, sometimes with small additions of vanadium.

The chromium provides improved oxidation and corrosion resistance and the molybdenum increases strength at elevated temperatures.
MSV (Main Stop Valves), RSV-ICV (Reheat Steam Valves, Intermediate Control Valves) for the steam turbine power generation industry are often made in these materials.
