Goodwin has supplied cast components for primary (class one) and secondary (class two) cooling loops in the form of pumps and valves and critical duty class one structural components.

Often working with tier one suppliers supplying cast components to propriety military and civil nuclear design such as the AP1000 PWR and Faslane nuclear submarine naval base.

Goodwin are authorised by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers to ASME NCA 3800 as a material organisation (Certificate: QSC-679).

BNFL Sellafield

For BNFL Sellafield Goodwin manufactured 132 fully machined 304L stainless steel radiation shielding viewing window frames. 7 different types were produced with individual weights of 280 to 490kg. Total cast weight of contract was over 44,000kg.
